National Diabetes Month 2022

Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is too high. It affects about 37 million Americans, including adults and youth. Diabetes can damage the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart, and is linked to some types of cancer. There are many things a person can do to prevent or manage the disease. In recognition of National Diabetes Month the Al Harris Library is highlighting a few of its books on diabetes and its prevention with a book display inside the entry to the building. You are welcome to browse this sample of what the library has to offer. All of the books in the display are available to check out.
