Construction on the First Floor

The ventilation system in the library will be undergoing renovation over the next few weeks. The engineers are working hard to create as little disruption as possible, but there will occasionally be noise and times when areas are cordoned off for safety. Thank you for your patience!

300 Movie Poster Giveaway: Learn How to Win It @ the Library

Learn about the first Hollywood blockbuster of 2007!

To celebrate the popularity of Frank Miller's 300, the Al Harris Library is displaying materials that include the graphic novel, the making of the movie, other Frank Miller publications, and historical publications about the Greeks and the Persian Wars.

For the duration of this library display, faculty, staff and students can submit contest forms for a chance to win a "300" movie poster. There are no restrictions on how many chances you submit. Contest chances will be available at the library display only. The winner will be announced during National Library Week, April 15-21.

Google Games


Digital designer Grant Robinson from New Zealand has come up with a couple of creative Google Games:

Montage-a-google is a simple web-based application that uses Google's image search to generate a large gridded montage of images based on keywords (search terms) entered by the user.

Guess-the-google reverses this process by picking the keywords for you, the player must then guess what keyword made up the image.
