No Country For Old Men

This year's Oscar Sweep went to Joel & Ethan Coen's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's brilliant novel: No Country For Old Men. Literary critic Harold Bloom had called McCarthy one of the four major American novelists of his time, along with Thomas Pynchon, Don DeLillo, and Philip Roth. He is frequently compared by modern reviewers to William Faulkner and sometimes to Herman Melville.

For a complete listing of works by and about Cormac McCarthy search the Al Harris Library catalog.
